FAQs

What do I do if I want to cancel my booking?

“To cancel your booking all you have to do is ring this number (01253) 362855 and as long as you have given us at least the required notice (see below) we will be happy to refund you.”

REFUND NOTICE PERIODS

Edinburgh Flying Scot require 7 working days notice to cancel.

All other car parks:

Within 1 working day of departure – No Refund
With 2 full working days notice - £10 administration charge, remainder refunded
With 3 full working days notice – Full Refund

Working Hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.00pm

How far is the car park from the Airport?

“We deal with several car parks around the UK. All of which are off site Car Parks and are situated between 5 and 10 minutes from their respective airports”

How do I get from the Car Park to the Airport?

“Once you have booked in your vehicle at the car park there will be a shuttle bus ready to take you to your terminal. You must remember to leave adequate time to book in your vehicle. (For example if your flight book in time is 12.00 you should aim to arrive at the car park at least half an hour earlier).”

How will I get from the airport to the car park when I get back from my trip?

“When you book in your vehicle you will be given a phone number to call on your return to the country. All you have to do is ring this number and the shuttle bus will come to meet you at arrivals.”

When should I arrive at the car park?

"We recommend that you arrive at the car park at least half an hour before your check-in time.

How long will I have to wait for the shuttle bus?

“The shuttle bus runs 24 hours a day and will leave the car park for the airport as soon as you have booked in. You should never have to wait more than approximately 20 minutes for a shuttle bus.”

Do I have to leave my keys?

“You will have to leave your keys with the attendants at the car park when you book in. This is so they can park your car safely on the car park and also in case there is an emergency and your car needs to be moved during the time you are away.”

Can I book at short notice?

"Yes! We can confirm your booking by email which you can print and hand in on arrival. If you do not have access to a printer, simply make a note of your booking reference and quote it on your arrival. This unfortunately does not apply to Chauffuer or Meet & Greet services who require varying notice periods."

Why pre-book?

"Most of our prices represent substantial savings compared to turning up on the day."

Where can I find directions on the web site?

"If you have made an online parking reservation you will have received directions (via email) as part of your booking confirmation, a copy of which you should print and take with you.

We do not provide maps and directions unless you have made a parking reservation with us. If you have made a booking and require a further copy of the directions to your chosen car park please call our customer services department on 01253 362855 during office hours detailed below or email: info@skyparksecure.com."

How do I obtain a VAT or credit/debit card receipt?

"Call us on 01253 362855 with your booking reference and we will send you one."

Can you confirm my booking by post?

"Call us on 01253 362855 with your booking reference and we will send you your confirmation."

Can I pay by cheque?

"Yes. Send in a letter with your Name, Address, Tel No, Dates and details of product required. (N.B. we cannot however guarantee availability of your chosen product by the time your cheque arrives)"

Why is a week calculated as 8 days and two weeks calculated as 15 days?

"One day is calculated as a whole or part of day. A Saturday to Saturday trip is calculated as 8 whole days. Hence a two week trip would be 15 days inclusive."

Is there an extra discount for booking more than one car at a time?

"No. Our prices are per vehicle and are already at a discounted rate."

What does Gate price mean?

"Usually 10% higher than the pre-booked price and can be as much as 60% higher."

What is on-airport car parking?

"Within the airport perimeter and run independently or by the airport authority. Usually a bus ride away from the Terminals Either long or short term."

What is an off-airport car park?

"Usually outside the airport perimeter and normally privately run. The benefits are cheaper rates, service and security. Your car will be moved by a chauffeur to a secure block park area while your luggage is loaded onto the courtesy bus. The transfer time is usually between 10-15 minutes with buses departing every 10 minutes or so."

What is Meet & Greet Parking?

"A supplement is paid to be met outside the Terminal by a chauffeur who takes your car to a secure off-airport car park. On your return a chauffeur will have your car waiting for you outside the Terminal."

How Secure are the Car Parks?

"Security is taken very seriously. Off-airport car parks are normally accredited with AA secure car park awards issued by the Police. Most car parks have a combination of security patrols, high level fencing, barriers and CCTV."
