What should I do if I have booked for Egypt (or affected areas)?
Most tour operators are currently cancelling all immediate bookings for areas from Cairo (all four governorates, including Giza), Alexandria, Luxor or Suez. Please check with the Foreign Office’s website for further information of affected areas. http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/travel-advice-by-country/middle-east-north-africa/egypt
I haven’t booked yet, but was thinking of visiting the pyramids in the summer, should I book?
At present the pyramid access has been closed off by the army, and the FCO (Foreign Office) have stated that unless your trip is essential all potential clients should hold off making any new bookings until further notice.
I’ve booked for Sharm El Sheikh for half term should I cancel my booking?
Tour operators in the area are reporting that the Red Sea resorts that include both Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada are currently safe from the troubles, with both areas hundreds of miles from Cairo.
