The 'Gallery of Modern Art' is the second most visited art gallery outside London, offering an astounding programme of temporary exhibitions and workshops. The Gallery of Modern Art shows displays of work by local and international artists.
First opened in 1996, the Gallery of Modern Art is housed in an elegant, neo-classical building in the heart of Glasgow. The building is has been refurbished to accomodate the city's contemporary art collection and has been designed with a combination of new and old architecture.

McLellan Galleries
McLellan Galleries, named after their contructor, 'Archibald McLellan' was built in 1856. Since his death, Glasgow City bought the Gallery, and it was used as an exhibition space.
In the 1980s the Galleries were ravaged by fire, but re-opened in 1990, following a £3 million restoration. The restoration changed it to becoming a general temporary exhibition space housing everything from trade shows to model railway exhibitions, to what was then the largest high-quality, air-conditioned, temporary exhibition space outside London. Inside the the Gallery, the interior is now Category B listed.

Museum of Transport
The Museum of Transport attracts over half a million visitors a year as it is one of the most popular museums in the British Isles. It has been home to many exhibitions of national and international importance since 1964.
The museum uses its collections of vehicles and models to tell the story of transport by land and sea, with a unique Glasgow flavour. You will be able to find the oldest surviving pedal cycle and the finest collection in the world of Scottish-built cars, including such world famous makes as Argyll, Arrol Johnson and Albion.

St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art
This unique museum explores the importance of religion in people's lives across the world and across time. The building, was opened in April 1993 and stands on the site of the medieval Bishop's Castle.
In the Gallery of Religious Art you can marvel at the world famous painting Christ of St John of The Cross by Salvador Dali and reflect on the awesome figure of the Hindu god Shiva, Lord of the Dance.
The gallery is illuminated with a wealth of colours by beautiful stained glass windows depicting Christian saints and prophets.
