Fossil Grove
Fossil Grove is unique, the fossil trees and surrounding rocks are the remains of an ancient forest, more than 330 million years old. It has been designated as a SSI (Special Scientific Interest) by the National Heritage.
It was discovered in 1887 when an old quarry was being developed for the creation of the park. Excavation of the site uncovered the fossils and a building was built in protection from the elements.
People's Palace and Winter Gardens
The People's Palace is Glasgow's social history museum. It displays a story from 1750 to the present time of the people and the city of Glasgow. Paintings, pictures and photographs are displayed amongst a wealth of historic elements.

Glasgow Green
Glasgow Green is Glasgow's oldest park extending for 129 acres has been the location for many political, social and sporting events. Glasgow Green has recently restored its Winter Gardens which contains a museum, cafe, toilets and disabled facilities. It also incorporates a 2 acre children's play village and a football centre.
Kelvingrove Park
Kelvingrove Park is landscaped across 85 acres of land by Sir Joseph Paxton in 1852. It is situated between Glasgow University and Kelvingrove Art Galleries.
Park features include commemorative statues, fountains, tennis, bowling and a fine herbaceous border.
