Driving to and from London Heathrow Airport
Getting to London Heathrow Airport: London Heathrow Airport is 15 miles west of London, on the M4 motorway, near the M25 interchange. All terminals and exits are clearly signposted. Terminals 1, 2 & 3 are located in the centre of London Heathrow Airport and can be reached via the M4 Junction 4, the M25 Junction 15 or the A4 (a local road).
Terminal 4 is on the south side of London Heathrow Airport and can be reached via the M4 Junction 3, the M25 Junction 14, or the A30 (a local road).

Dropping off and picking up : For security reasons, private cars may not stop on the terminal forecourt roads for any purpose other than to set down or pick up passengers. Cars left unattended are liable to be towed away by the police and a retrieval charge levied. Please use the multi-storey car parks if you need to leave your car unattended while picking up/dropping off airline passengers.
Short and long term airport parking is available with regular shuttles running between the long term parking area and the terminals. It is adviseable to book airport parking in advance.
24 hour petrol stations are available at all four terminals.
Driving to London from London Heathrow Airport: It takes approximately 45-60 minutes to get to central London from Heathrow. When leaving Terminals 1, 2 and 3, follow exit signs to the access/exit tunnel. Follow signs to the M4 motorway, which will eventually bring you into London. Terminal 4 is on the main A30 road. The M4 and M25 orbital are signposted. Again, follow signs to the M4 which will eventually bring you into London.
Getting to London Heathrow Airport by rail
There is a Railair service operating to and from London Heathrow Airport providing links to stations in Feltham, Reading, Woking and Watford Junction.

Getting to London Heathrow Airport by Underground
London Heathrow Airport has two stations on London Underground's Piccadilly Line, one station for Terminals 1, 2 & 3 and one for Terminal 4. The average journey time from London Heathrow Airport to central London is about 50 - 60 minutes. Tubes run every five minutes at peak times and every nine minutes at off-peak times and weekends.
It takes an additional five minutes to reach Terminals 1, 2 & 3. These times are subject to change and you should check with London Transport before travelling. During the night, the N97 bus connects London Heathrow Airport with central London every 30 minutes.

Getting to London Heathrow Airport by coach
Most coach services operate from the central bus station, which can be reached by the subways linking Terminals 1, 2 and 3. The central bus station is clearly sign-posted from all terminals. It is located next to the London Underground station for Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
The travel centre at the central bus station has details of all coach and bus services. An information board will direct you to the correct stop. Terminal 3 has another bus station by the arrivals forecourt and Terminal 4 is served by several operators.

The Airbus links London Heathrow Airport terminals with many London hotels and some main line rail stations. It departs every 20 to 30 minutes and takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Airbus A1 - Serves Victoria London via several London hotels.
Airbus A2 - Serves Russell Square via Euston rail station and also drops off at some West End hotels.
Airbus Direct - Serves many central London destinations from Terminal 4 with additional services from Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
There is also an all night bus service from London Heathrow Airport to central London.

Getting to London Heathrow Airport by Heathrow Express
Heathrow Express is a revolutionary, non-stop train service between Heathrow Airport and Paddington station in central London. The journey takes 15 minutes to and from Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and five minutes more to and from Terminal 4. Heathrow Express trains depart every 15 minutes from 5:00 am to 11:50 pm, 365 days a year.
