London Eye

The London Eye stands 135 metres high. It provides a 30-minute, slow-moving 'flight' over London. Its Design is to reflect the elements of air, water, earth and time - the central theme is a circle of white light from within the rim which sweeps the skyline at 135 metres. The passenger capsules signifying 'time', is enlightened internally at the point of embarcation.

Each high-tech capsule can accomodate up to 25 visitors and has the capacity to handle 1,500 visitors every hour when all capsules are filled.

Kensington Gardens

Kensington Gardens covers 275 acres and was originally part of Hyde Park. Kensington Gardens, is a perfect setting for Kensington Palace. The Italian Gardens within this park is in sharp picturesque landscape contrast to the openess and activity of Hyde Park a short walk away.

Kensington Gardens facilities include two children's playgrounds, and toilets for the disabled are available at Mount Gate WC.

London Zoo

London Zoo offers you the ability to indulge your senses and engage your mind with so many exciting animals, a day at London Zoo offers the ultimate back to nature experience and supports the active conservation of many amazing species. Watch out for the Happy Families area, where you can see meerkats keeping an eye on their neighbours from rocky outcrops. Watch the playful otters swimming gracefully underwater as they chase each other in and out of the pools and waterfalls. Visit the tapirs and see them enjoying their new pool in their indoor enclosure or see the endangered tamarins basking in the sunshine in their new outdoor enclosures.

London Zoo offers first hand experience of over 600 species of amazing animals including lions, tigers, primates, giraffes and many many more. Watch the penguins and pelicans embarking in some fishy goings on at feeding time.

Young at heart visitors can enjoy an encounter with farmyard favourites at the touch paddock in the Children's Zoo.

St James's Park

Surrounding St James's Park are three Royal Palaces; Westminster, St James's Palace and Buckingham Palace. The most ancient palace being Westminster. St James's Palace still holds the title of the Court of St James despite that the Monarch has lived in Buckingham Palace since 1837.

Park facilities include a children's playground and deck chairs (April-September).
