More holiday destinations announced for East Midlands Airport in 2016

    HOLIDAY-MAKERS flying from East Midlands Airport will soon have greater choice of where to travel as a major airline has announced its summer schedule for 2016.
    The airline Ryanair has revealed that it will offer 35 routes to destinations across Europe including Berlin, Chania in Greece, Lanzarote and Malaga.

    The company is predicting to see the number of people travelling with them to increase to 2.3million a year.

    The 2016 summer schedule will include two weekly flights to Corfu, two to Dublin every day and three to Krakow every week, bringing the total Ryanair flights from East Midlands Airport to 177 a week.

    Robin Kiely, head of communications at Ryanair said: “We are pleased to launch our East Midlands summer 2016 schedule.

    “Our customers can look forward to further improvements in the coming months, including our personalised website, with exciting new digital features such as ‘hold the fare’ and real customer destination reviews under our ‘always getting better’ programme, as we continue to offer so much more than just lowest fares.”

    To celebrate the launch of the East Midlands summer 2016 schedule, Ryanair have released 100,000 seats for customers with fares starting from £19.99, which are available for booking until midnight tonight (Monday, December 14)
