Manchester Airport has unveiled its 1.9m refurbishment at Escape Lounge in Terminal Two. The capacity of the lounge has been increased by a third and has room for up to 212 passengers, the extra space was created by by knocking two existing lounges into one.
A new kitchen and bar have been added to the Escape lounge which provides passengers with an area away from the hustle and bustle of the airport terminal to relax and enjoy themselves before they fly.
Introduced in 2006 at Terminal 2, MAG, the site’s operator, went on to expand the concept to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, in 2010 and 2013. Additionally, the concept was rolled out to East Midlands Airport and London Stansted facilities two years ago.
MAG has also taken the Escape Lounge concept across the Atlantic to the USA, launching at Minneapolis-St Paul Airport and due to reach Oakland International Airport and Bradley International Airport in Connecticut later this year.
